There are 2 reasons 👇 1. When planting onto soil, the stem will sit ON TOP of it.... This means that there is much less chance of the plant rotting, as there should be ROOTS in the soil ONLY - nothing else. 2. The shorter the stem is, the LESS HARD it has to work to strike new roots and this means not having to wait as long...
