This distinctive lowland single malt whisky is distilled in Dumbartonshire on the Auchebtoshan estate. The distillery was designed and built in 1823 by an engineer from Greenock whose name Thorne. During the Second World War, the distillery was bombed by the Luftwaffe, who were targeting the River Clyde with its shipyards.

Glenfiddich is a huge brand in scotch whisky and will have graced most peoples collections at some time. I myself experienced the 12 year as my introduction to single malts and I first tried this when I was 18 and was given a bottle for my birthday.

Nov 11, 2018 · Next up on the Glengoyne express that also includes reviews of the 15 year and 18 year is this good old 10 year expression. As already mentioned in the review of the 15 this is a Highland whisky despite the fact that it is matured in the Lowlands due to the distillery being positioned right on the border.

A well-aged scotch of 18+ years. So as this combines those two things it’s highly likely I will love this too I dare say. The Talisker distillery is located in Carbost on the Isle of Skye in Scotland.
