I plugged in my ELM237 into my OBDII port in my truck and followed directions and recieved "MY" 4 digit pin number. I had to use 15 tokens to get it so now I can get the pin code for my other 2 vehicles, so a total of $5 per vehicle.

From what I've read once you download the app and buy the tokens, you connect your obd2 reader to your truck and follow the directions in the app. Also it is recommended to use the obdlink mx with alphaobd.
