Denali National Park is home to the tallest mountain in North America. Denali stands tall at 20,320 feet. Denali NP is also home to the Alaska Range and some of the most beautiful and remote walls in the world.

I use CCW packs for technical climbing, but Denali and Aconcagua, by the normal or regular routes, are best served with comfortable backpack verses a technical climbing pack.

Oct 9, 2024 · I have been mountaineering for about 10 years in both North and South America. Most recently, I came off in spring 2024 from a successful climb on mount Logan, Canada. For 2025, I want to do something similar, but I can only pull 2 consecutive vacation weeks (Denali will have to wait...), hence an attempt on Fairweather.

Oct 17, 2018 · On Denali my wife who is similar size and runs cold used this: 3/4 length foam pad Neo air x-therm FF Ptarmigan with 2oz overfill She slept with varying amounts of clothing depending on temps but typically not more than base layers. She would highly recommend and was never cold in the bag which was huge.

Jul 22, 2011 · Ascend the mellow Upper Harper to Denali Pass and hang a left to join the herds on the West Buttress. Summit day is longer from this side, so give yourself 10-16 hours roundtrip. Climbing the North Peak of Denali is an awesome way to avoid the crowds and highly recommended. There are numerous ways to do it - I'll leave that adventure up to you.
