what exactly do you want to do? if you just want a regular NA 2jz is300 engine those are like $500-700 plus $1000 labor to put it back in. If you want to build a 2JZ GTE with a single turbo and other fun stuff, especially putting it into an IS300, the sky's the limit.

Oct 11, 2021 · The Lexus GS300, IS300, SC300, Altezza, Soarer, Chaser, Aristo etc all have a 2JZ motor moron. Same motor thats in the Supra. The JDM spec cars have the GTE twin turbo model, the US spec cars have the GE NA model. They're literally a 2JZ.

The block's oiling passages are far larger than anything else produced around that time, including the RB26s. Toyota literally did build the engine for 1,000hp, even if they only made 300-350 out of the factory.

The problem is, it's EXTREMELY hard to package in cars. It's both long and tall. And in the modern era of low hood lines for emissions and gas mileage standards, it's a very tough package to design around.

Beyond that, you need to support it with a fuel system, cooling system, intake and exhaust plumbing, and a drivetrain. You will need to put together an engine that can reliably handle boost of 25+ psi, at least for short periods of time.

Oct 27, 2022 · When building the engine, 2JZ's have proven to be reliable at 1000hp+ with only the pistons and rods being changed, with some head mods not the crankshaft nor the block. Overall, 2JZ's have obviously seen way higher power levels than a B58 regardless of it being built or not, as the engine has been around for over 30 years.
