Jan 7, 2025 · Due to the recent impacts suffered by the current Palisades Fire, the following locations are closed to the public effective immediately and will remain closed until further notice: Department of Parks Recreation - Angeles District. Numerous firefighting air tankers from throughout the State are flying fire suppression missions as conditions allow.

The Palisades Fire was a highly-destructive wildfire that began burning in the Santa Monica Mountains of Los Angeles County on January 7, 2025, which grew to destroy large areas of Pacific Palisades, Topanga, and Malibu before it was fully contained after 24 days on January 31.
