Jun 25, 2011 · Usman deserves a high ranked contender and a title shot if he wins IMO. He played the company man and wasted half his career fighting fucking Colby and Mas. Those fights aren't aging well and they were the bidding of the UFC. It might not be a popular opinion, but I think Usman deserves another shot at gold if he can post a good W.

His grappling looked better against Burns that it did vs Basil. Another 3rd rd tko for Jack. Usman's knees are shot he could barely get Leon down 2 years ago.

So getting a single decent or big win could put him back in contention despite it bringing him to 1-3 in his last four(if he won his next contenders fight against one of the options presented above)

GSP probably would outstrike him on the feet as he had a much greater variety of shots and outstruck better strikers than Usman and mix in a few takedowns for a pretty painless victory. And hey again. Usman is a great fighter.
