Dec 24, 2022 · There are a number of survival games with winter parts or open world ones with winter biomes. But if you're use to long dark, these will be a walk in the park by comparison IMO. Can't comment on Subnautica below zero.

I'm not sure why, but I love survival games with heat mechanics and snowstorms and so on. I'd love a survival game where you have to battle the cold as a main mechanic (Not something like Valheim or Below Zero where it's a side mechanic), but I'm not sure where to find any. Maybe something similar to Dread Hunger, but you can play it alone

May 1, 2023 · I know this might not be exactly the type of gameplay you're requesting, but it's a pretty good game set in a post-apocalyptic never-ending winter with co-op and stuff: After the Fall Closest thing I can think of right now.

Other details: I remember this game taking place in a winter apocalyptic setting, in either Russia or some other Slavic country. All the characters had Slavic names. I remember the game started with you in a safe house and for some reason you leave.

Sons of the Forest - As others have mentioned, they are bringing in a full season and weather system for the whole map, I believe. Not available under 23rd Feb
