After it was passed in the Lok Sabha, the Waqf Bill has been tabled in the Rajya Sabha. Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju has presented the bill before the upper house on Thursday.

In Rajya Sabha, the voting was 128 votes in favour of the Waqf bill and 95 against. The bill will now be forwarded to President Droupadi Murmu for her assent, following which it will become an Act.
