Both Jeremiah Trotter Jr. and Jihaad Campbell made a thundering first impression in full pads, literally. With Zack Baun out (back contusion) and Nakobe Dean still rehabbing (patella tendon), Campbell received first-team reps on the weak side while Trotter played in the middle.

When the Philadelphia Eagles kicked off training camp on Wednesday, the loudest reaction from fans in attendance at the NovaCare Complex didn’t come from a Saquon Barkley run or a Jalen Hurts scramble. It was an under-the-radar free agent signing who drew applause.

The Eagles drafted Central Florida cornerback Mac McWilliams in the fifth round of this year’s draft and signed veteran cornerback Adoree’ Jackson in free agency, pushing Ricks to the sixth spot on the depth chart. General manager Howie Roseman could hold onto Ricks or trade him for depth at a different position.
