Jason Kidd arrived at Madison Square Garden Tuesday night as a coach, trying to drag his injury-riddle Dallas Mavericks squad into the postseason. It’s already been 12 years since he was here as a player for the last time with coach Mike Woodson, trying to push the Knicks to the finish line with the gas tank on empty.

Ahead of their matchup with the New York Knicks, the Mavericks announced their injury report, which included Davis who was ruled out on the second night of a back-to-back. This didn't come as much of a surprise, as Davis is expected to return for Thursday night’s game against the Orlando Magic.

The Dallas Mavericks were defeated by the New York Knicks on Tuesday night, losing 128-113. Despite the defeat, the Mavericks saw Naji Marshall set a new career-high with 38 points. Mavs head coach Jason Kidd reacted to Marshall's play following the game.
