A couple visiting New York City from the Netherlands said they were next in line to board the doomed helicopter that crashed into the Hudson River, killing all six people on board.

Six people died when a helicopter crashed into the Hudson River Thursday afternoon.The incident happened at around 3:17 p.m. near the Holland Tunnel ventilation shaft in Jersey City, not far from River Drive South and Newport Parkway,

Five of the individuals on board were a family of tourists from Spain and the sixth person was the pilot, officials say.
