Mario Kart 9 (aka Mario Kart World) is heading to the Switch 2 in 2025, so here's all the latest news about the new Nintendo game

Mario Kart World is an open-world racing game in the style of Forza Horizon, in which fields of 24 racers compete across a huge map with different regions. It has many features associated with more realistic racing games, including a photo mode, dynamically changing weather conditions, and time-of-day that will affect the racing experience.

If you’re excited about F-Zero GX, definitely also check out FAST Fusion, arguably the game’s indie spiritual successor courtesy of Shin’en Multimedia. The studio’s last game, FAST RMX, was one of the original Switch’s finest exclusives, and the new one looks just as sweet.

The Switch 2 is here — well, almost. Nintendo took the wraps off its new console during its latest Direct event, providing us with a closer look at the $449.99 console ahead of its release on June 5th.

Nintendo showed its trademark ability to delight with its console’s unveiling. But some of what it showed was a little head-scratching.

Nintendo just held a livestream to drop more details on the forthcoming Switch 2 console. At the very end, it revealed a brand-new 3D platformer starring Donkey Kong. This is the first game of its type since Donkey Kong 64 hit the Nintendo 64 all the way back in 1999.

Nintendo has announced a June 5 launch date for its latest gaming console, the Switch 2, which will introduce interactive chat and screenshare functions to connect gamers.

Nintendo released a ton of details on the Switch 2 hardware as well as new games that you'll be able to play on the system when it arrives.
