The board of supervisors approved a proclamation today celebrating the Calaveras County Fair and Jumping Frog Jubilee.

Holly Hill Mayor John Penny said he wants local officials to talk about increasing the local sales tax to help pay for flood-prevention initiatives and related infrastructure in the county.
