When Linda Compton opened a fabric shop with her daughter, they wanted to create a welcoming space for anyone who loves sewing and quilting.

She was given a choice between beautiful but toxic fabrics or “greener” alternatives made from recycled polyester, which contributes to microfiber pollution in bodies of water, among other impacts.
