The building is home to three congregations — Tree of Life or L'Simcha, New Light and Dor Hadash. Tree of Life congregation will hire a strategic planning consultant to help with the final plans.

As cartoonists work in the language of such symbols, they aim to reflect everything from the diseased hate that fuels such a massacre to the resilient heart of the Tree of Life congregation.

Over the years, the Christmas tree has become a symbol of Christ as the "tree of life." Through the birth of Jesus, believers have been given God's gifts of life, light and wisdom.
