UPDATE: (10:47 a.m. Wednesday, May 29) — The Pomeroy Volunteer Fire Department is releasing new details of a large fire that broke out at a house in the Village of Pomeroy Tuesday evening.

OSHP identified the victim as Clay Ihle, 70, of Rutland. Sheriff Fitch and the Pomeroy Fire Department say Mr. Ihle went by the name “Tim,” and confirmed he is Meigs County Treasurer Tim Ihle.
