PATNA: A 35-year-old self-proclaimed area commander of a Maoist outfit—CPI(Maoist)—was killed in an encounter with security personnel in Bihar’s Banka district, police said on Wednesday.
They cited their disillusionment with the "hollow" and "inhuman" Maoist ideology and growing internal differences within the outfit as the main reasons for their decision to abandon violence.
