Low-cost air carrier Frontier Airlines is adding three new routes this spring, connecting more destinations across the U.S.

Frontier Airlines will have to compete with American Airlines and United Airlines on two out of the three routes.

Frontier Airlines on Monday announced a new nonstop route between Tampa International Airport and Charlotte Douglas International Airport, with introductory fares starting at $29.

The collision occurred moments before the jet was set to land, sending both aircraft into the Potomac River. Rescue crews have recovered 27 bodies from the plane and one from the helicopter.
