EBT card users will now be able to lock and unlock their cards from being spent in the meantime while a more permanent solution is being worked on.

The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services said Wednesday that it has sent out its first round of S-EBT payments.

The Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA) will be conducting maintenance on the EBT system, impacting about 1.1 million people receiving SNAP benefits statewide.

During the outage, Massachusetts EBT cardholders will not be able to use them for food and cash purchases or for cash withdrawals.
