Federal funding cuts are driving uncertainty for local food banks as more USDA cuts strip the Mid-Ohio Food Collective of nearly 700k pounds of food.

Food banks across the country, already strained by rising demand, say they will have less food to distribute because of at least $1 billion in federal funding cuts and pauses by the Trump administration,

Robinson is worried about the ripple effect of the USDA cuts since the funding goes through a chain of organizations. In his case, the agency funded Feeding America, a nationwide network of more than 200 food banks that feed more than 46 million people and often partners with Catholic Charities to assist local families facing food insecurity.
