Mexico’s President Claudia Sheinbaum said her country would deliver more water to Texas as part of a border agreement but that supplies had been limited by several years of drought.

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said on Friday that the country was looking for alternatives to comply with an 81-year old water treaty with the United States. Mexico has fallen short on its water deliveries to the U.

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said her country was working on sending water made scarce by almost four years of drought to the U.S. and didn’t believe President Trump’s demand for water would lead to a crisis between the two countries.
