In domestic play, Lille currently sits in fifth place in France's Ligue 1 while Dortmund needs to figure some things out over in the German Bundesliga as the team is currently in 10th place with 35 points but just four points back of sixth, the last spot that qualifies for UEFA play next year.

Lille will be aiming to reach the Champions League quarter-finals for the first time ever, as they host last year's runners-up Borussia Dortmund in the second leg of this last Round of 16 clash.  The French Ligue 1 team fought back to earn a 1-1 draw at Signal Iduna Park in last Tuesday's first leg with Hákon Arnar Haraldsson's second half strike cancelling out Karim Adeyemi's earlier goal.

Borussia Dortmund fought back to reach the Champions League quarter-finals for the second year in a row as second-half goals by Emre Can and Maximilian Beier gave them a deserved 2-1 win at Lille in their last-16 return leg on Wednesday.
