Dozens of tornado and severe thunderstorm warnings were issued in parts of Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri and Mississippi as storms hit those and other states
A line of strong storms—including reported tornadoes in Brownsburg and Carmel—passed through central Indiana on Wednesday night, creating power outages and flooding, downing trees and damaging buildings.
The National Weather Service warned that the next few days were forecast to bring "significant, life-threatening flash flooding."
