Rain continues to stay away from much of Florida's peninsula, prompting the National Weather Service to issue both red flag warnings and fire weather watches in the wake of a cold front.

Friday morning, there were 61 wildfires in Florida. Red flag warnings were issued for 14 Florida counties. Wildfires recently have prompted evacuations of homes in Collier and Martin counties.
