Six-time Pro Bowl defensive end Calais Campbell is going back to where his NFL career began, signing a one-year deal with the Arizona Cardinals on Tuesday.

The Cardinals are signing six-time Pro Bowl defensive lineman Calais Campbell to a one-year deal, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter and NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

The Miami Dolphins are losing Calais Campbell to the Arizona Cardinals. This creates a major void both on the field and in the area of team leadership.

The Dolphins have only one above average defensive lineman under contract, in Zach Sieler. They have a nose tackle, Benito Jones, who has consistently graded out among the worst in the league. Their only two other defensive linemen under contract are journeymen Matt Dickerson and Neil Farrell.

Veteran defensive lineman Calais Campbell has agreed to a one-year contract with the Arizona Cardinals, returning to the franchise that drafted him for his 18th NFL season.
