A tornado watch is issued until 4 p.m. on Sunday in Western Pennsylvania and the watch will extend to northern West Virginia and eastern Ohio. Sunday begins very balmy with temperatures that have struggled to drop below 60 through the overnight hours across most of Western Pennsylvania.

The system responsible for producing deadly tornadoes in the Mississippi Valley and Deep South will be pushing east. But this is Pennsylvania in March, so naturally we will have little instability to work with – thankfully.

The National Weather Service issued an updated report at 8:23 a.m. on Sunday for strong thunderstorms until 9 a.m. for Northern Erie and Southern Erie as well as Crawford County.
