Pools and splash pads around Colorado Springs are opening up for the summer season this weekend.

A brush fire burning in Riverside County has forced evacuations of nearby residents. The fire began shortly after 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the area of Lower Ranch Road and Petes Crossing in Aguanga.
