Guest homes, granny flats or in-law suites — whatever people call them — generally already are permitted in many Martin County neighborhoods, County Commissioner Blake Capps said.

The third floor was turned into a guest or in-law suite with a bedroom, full bathroom, kitchenette and living area. The basement level has an indoor pool, which is not currently being used.
