The unexpected event momentarily overshadowed the return of Oilers superstar Leon Draisaitl from injury, but once play resumed, Draisaitl reclaimed the spotlight by scoring his 50th and 51st goals of the season, leading Edmonton to a dramatic 3–2 overtime victory.

Someone in the stands at Saturday’s game between the Edmonton Oilers and Calgary Flames was taken away in an ambulance after experiencing a medical emergency. The emergency led to the game in Edmonton being paused for nearly 10 minutes early in the first period.

Before Draisaitl came alive in the third, Viktor Arvidsson was the Oilers' best player on Saturday night. He scored Edmonton's first goal on a sweet feed from Draisaitl in the second period and was all over the ice the entire night. His expected goals share of 79% led the Oilers.
