New Leaf Illinois works with organizations like Prairie State Legal Services in Rockford to offer free legal help to people wanting to expunge their old cannabis convictions.

Statewide, aid groups have opened just 3,338 cases seeking expungement since 2019, according to New Leaf’s data.
