A massive $350 million family resort and entertainment district planned for the Lake of the Ozarks region is now targeting a 2026 grand opening, two years later than originally expected.

Scenes from 1987's "Dirty Dancing" were filmed in and around the town. Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey, stayed at the Lake Lure Inn while shooting.
