Drivers travelling southbound faced delays and a long diversion while the major route was closed between Milford (A283) and the Hindhead Tunnel (A333) due to an ‘infrastructure defect’.
Specialist service providers have now repaired the defect that led to the southbound closure between the A283 and the A333. National Highways said the tunnel, which was also closed, has also reopened.
