A giant block of ice, measuring 6 feet 3 inches tall, crashed through a home in Palm Coast on Monday, officials said. The impact was so loud that a neighbor called 911. Residents rushed outside and were relieved to find no one was injured.

City officials notified the Federal Aviation Administration, suggesting there are suspicions it was a rare “blue ice” incident. The term is applied to frozen aircraft lavatory waste.
