A high pressure ridge currently south west of Tasmania will continue to move slowly eastward and into the Tasman Sea by Tuesday extending a ridge about southern parts of the State through to Thursday.
A high pressure system with a ridge over the Tasman Sea extends into far northeastern New South Wales while a trough lies in the state's west, triggering widespread showers and thunderstorms.
