Footage shown on local media showed at least two men wearing balaclavas and carrying weapons exchanging fire outside Clémenceau station in the Belgian capital at around 6 am CET.

"The Brussels Midi police and the federal railway police are searching the area. No one was injured in the shooting." The suspects had aimed at a person but missed, Belgian broadcaster VRT reported.

No injuries were reported but the Clemenceau station and the Brussels-Midi station were closed, affecting thousands of people, following the shooting incident that happened about 6:15 a.m. local time.
