Wisconsin coach Greg Gard mentioned a stat that showed the folly of preseason rankings when he noted that one rating listed John Tonje as the 296th-ranked transfer in the country. Of course that looks really silly now.

Following a remarkable regular-season slate, Badgers wing John Tonje earned a unanimous spot on the 2024-25 All-Big Ten First Team. He becomes the 12th Badger since 2000 to pocket a first-team distinction.

Just one Badger made any of the three honor teams, as John Tonje was on the first. John Blackwell made honorable mention after Wisconsin finished fifth overall in the conference.
