Former Vice President Mike Pence said on Friday that he “welcomed” his interaction with his one-time boss and running mate, Donald Trump when the two men met face to face for the first time in four years at former President Jimmy Carter’s funeral.

Mike Pence's wife Karen did not greet President-elect Donald Trump or Melania Trump at Jimmy Carter's funeral Thursday morning. As the former vice president rose to shake hands with Trump, his wife remained seated. Neither of the Trumps extended a hand to her, and she did not appear to acknowledge them.

"Today, I will attend the Inauguration of President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance at the U. S. Capitol," Pence wrote on X. "This is a day when every American does well to celebrate our democracy and the peaceful transfer of power under the Constitution of the United States."
