A former Iron County Sheriff’s Office lieutenant accused of fostering a toxic work environment and committing acts of misconduct is now under review by an independent special counsel.
According to Salt Lake City Police, the incident occurred around 8:30pm in the area of 1400 South State Street. It is unknown what led up to the incident, but police confirm that one person was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Police also confirm that one suspect is in custody and there is no further threat to the public.
