Joey Logano missed out on breaking a huge record after he lost the pole position to William Byron for the NASCAR Shriners Children's 500 at Phoenix.

The mile-long intermediate track is early in the NASCAR season, and it provides a strong test for the Cup Series’ top drivers.

The 2025 Shriners Children’s 500 is scheduled for March 9, 2025, at Phoenix Raceway in Avondale, Arizona. It marks the fourth race of the NASCAR Cup Series season. The event will cover 312 laps on the 1.022-mile oval, totaling approximately 318.864 miles.
