President Trump arrived in France on Monday for the annual Group of 7 summit, as his positions on trade, the war in Ukraine and NATO strain ties with European allies. Mr. Trump is scheduled to meet with President Emmanuel Macron of France later in the day before holding group sessions with other world leaders on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Speaking at the G-7 summit in Canada, President Trump said Iran needs to resume talks to end its nuclear program immediately.

The president has made clear he prefers a one-on-one approach to China, complicating allies' push for a united front.
