Before Miami traded Butler to the Warriors, the Heat suspended him on three separate occasions for conduct detrimental to the team. Riley had publicly called out Butler for his lack of availability after last season’s first-round exit and the Heat declined to offer Butler a contract extension despite his role in leading the team to two NBA Finals.

Golden State Warriors’ new star Jimmy Butler broke his silence on the suspensions he received during his final days with the Miami Heat amid the NBA trade drama.

Curry, 37, met the team in Miami and practiced at the unassuming private Catholic university outside downtown. He got re-evaluated in the morning for his pelvic contusion and is listed as questionable for Tuesday’s game against the Heat — Butler’s first action against the team he brought to two NBA Finals.
