Kam Jones scored 28 points, including the go-ahead basket with 1:16 remaining, as No. 25 Marquette rallied for an 89-87 victory over Xavier in the Big East quarterfinals on Thursday afternoon.

The biggest bad beat of this year's conference tournaments arrived Thursday at the end of Marquette's win over Xavier. The Golden Eagles had the game in the bag after Chase Ross made a pair of free throws to put them up 89-84 with 2 seconds left, but Xavier still had the ball.
