Paul Mescal will play Sir Paul McCartney while fellow Irish actor Barry Keoghan takes on the role of Sir Ringo Starr in a collection of new Beatles biopics. Sony Pictures announced there will be four films, with an April 2028 release date, directed by British filmmaker Sir Sam Mendes.

Irish actors Paul Mescal and Barry Keoghan have been officially confirmed as part of the cast for "The Beatles - A Four-Film Cinematic Event," which is due for release in April 2028. Mescal will play Paul McCartney while Keoghan will feature as Ringo Starr.

Sam Mendes is set to direct four separate feature-length biopics chronicling the story of The Beatles through the eyes of each of its members, and the casting of the four musicians has now been confirmed.
