LeBron James intends to stay with the Lakers beyond Thursday's NBA trade deadline, a source familiar with his plans confirmed to ESPN.

According to one senior NBA insider, instead of asking to be traded right away, LeBron James will stay with the Lakers past Thursday's trade deadline.

The Lakers' title odds moved significantly after the Luka Doncic trade from Dallas, but Boston and Oklahoma City are still the favorites.

Sources told ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Los Angeles Lakers are acquiring NBA superstar Luka Doncic, as well as Maxi Kleber, Markieff Morris from the Dallas Mavericks for Anthony Davis, Max Christie and a Laker 2029 first round draft pick.

NBA star Luka Doncic is “grateful” to play for the Los Angeles Lakers.  The Dallas Mavericks traded Doncic to the Lakers for Anthony Davis.  The Mavericks acquired Doncic from the Atlanta Hawks on draft night in 2018 for Trae Young.

The game is scheduled to start at 8:30 p.m. EST and will be broadcast on ABC.
