Shortly after the New York Giants reached an agreement with free-agent quarterback Jameis Winston, the NFL team did the same with free-agent quarterback Russell Wilson. Winston knew that was a possibility when he decided to join the Giants, who have overhauled their quarterback depth chart this offseason.

Both quarterbacks appear to be well past their statistical primes, but they retain the ability to produce solid play when called upon (Wilson more than Winston). On Wednesday, SI's Albert Breer outlined the difference between Wilson and Winston's contracts, which reflect the former's track record of success.

Jameis Winston said on Monday that his "initial vision approaching this offseason" was to find a team that would give him "either a starting role or bridge opportunity to be the starting quarterback," but it looks like he's destined for other things.
