Nintendo Game Cube: Nintendo Classics launches on June 5, the same day as Switch 2. According to Nintendo, players can enjoy games with clearer image quality and higher resolution, customize controls to their liking and play with up to four people locally or online in games that support multiplayer.
It's worth noting how Nintendo will also be allowing Switch 2 users to try out GameChat for free until 31st March 2026. Switch Online's base tier costs $19.99 USD per year and including the Expansion Pack tier it will set you back $49.99 USD (or your regional equivalent).
When the Switch 2 arrives on June 5, it will do so with updated Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack offerings featuring GameCube titles as part of the service’s classics library, providing access to some hard-to-find and/or prohibitively expensive games in the process.
