A relentless brush fire in South Miami-Dade County has led to the closure of the 18-Mile Stretch of U.S. 1 for the third time on Friday afternoon.

Morgan Rynor reports access to the Florida Keys has been severely limited as fire fighters work to contain a massive brush fire in southern Miami-Dade that's caused traffic delays and partially blocked vehicle access this this week.

A raging wildfire has once again forced the closure of Florida's busy 18-Mile Stretch that provides the main link to the Florida Keys. It's the third straight day the main road has been shut down, creating a renewed headache for traffic attempting to get to or from the keys.

Drivers heading in and out of the Florida Keys should expect delays along the 18 Mile Stretch of U.S. 1 between Florida City and Key Largo as firefighters continue to battle fast-moving brush fires, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
