The Downtown Disney parking garage opened to the general public this morning. The garage is opening in phases. It has five levels with 4,000 spaces. Right now about 1,700 spaces are available.

A steady flow of cars filed into Downtown Disney’s parking lot yesterday afternoon, with every driver sticking their hand out the window to take a ticket good for two hours of free parking.

What do we know about the expansion: Disney’s surface parking lots, namely the Toy Story lot and the Downtown Disney parking lots, will give way to new developments like hotels and attractions.
