It's taken almost three weeks into the season, but the first winter flounder catches on Shark River are starting to come in.

A recent success story comes from a kayaker near the Solomons Island bridge who filled a five-gallon bucket with white perch using sabiki rigs, with occasional rockfish also biting on the small lures.
